We had camped before in Yellowstone and upon returning I could see why, there is never a bad day really, in Yellowstone. Unless of course you forget to prevent forest fires or get too close to one of the abundant buffalo. (below)

I think my camp counselor aka husband didn’t even realize, til he looked up, how close friendly but not, buffalo was. This is truly where “the buffalo roam!”

A memory that I could never remember was, seeing a river, wanting to swim it; but… considering the scenario of being in the car soaking wet, for the rest of the days drive…however, we went for it!

Back in the Salt Lake area Elizabeth and I went on an adventure to the Robert Smithson Spiral Jetty Sculpture(1970) on the Great Salt Lake, near the Golden Spike National Historic railroad site. ~ 8/18/14
