Don’t judge…finally made it back!

February 2, 2018

Maybe it’s a good thing…so busy living life I can’t make time for chronicling the moments!

It has been “the year of years!” When I went to gather my “best nine” I came up with 40 photos! Picking up the pieces, following up on “Our hearts are overflowing” & “These boots are made for working” life moved from one amazing chapter into another and then another. How often can we say that? Usually never!

So needless to say we are soaking up every moment and all the joy surrounding us. It all began with the birth of our first grandchild, a beautiful girl, Zoe born November 24, 2016 and the blessings have continued up to this very day!

These are all stories of their own to be written later, however, during March and April 2017 our family of 3 spent our time preparing for a Florida State University, Spring 9am Commencement Ceremony ~ College of Engineering- Civil. It is a joyous occasion ranging from “how long is this ceremony going to continue” to utter chaos locating “your graduate” afterward to let the celebration commence! The serious part of March & April was completing school and the fun part was party preparations for a pre-grad dinner Friday night May 5th and conjuring up wise words conveying our pride and joy to “the Graduate!” I told him, “before today Gustave Eiffel has always been my favorite Civil Engineer!”

3 hours after the Saturday morning graduation on May 6 and a delicious champagne lunch, I boarded a plane at our regional airport and flew to Salt Lake City. There I joined the amazing waiting game anticipating the birth of our second grandchild, a girl due May 10. All I can say is at least everything happened in chronological order, and I was happy for that…prayers!

During this summer our daughters, their husbands and two new granddaughters prepared to relocate back east to Florida! They arrived just in time for hurricane Irma!

On August 6, 2017 we were married 40 years…me and the most incredible husband you can imagine!

I’m so happy that my mom, turning 80 years old this year, was with us for all these events, healthy and happy to soak it all up with us!

So fabulous having four generations in the house this year…time after time.
