There is nothing quite like “our” Gulf of Mexico; here on the Emerald coast.(Rosemary Beach)
Along the Gulf Coast you’ll also find a restful cape, cut off from the rest of the world just for you, Cape San Blas. This is where we have found peace and rest many times. One of those times was May 2015 with our original 5, the best sons in-law.
We call the month of May, “the after spring break special.” In early May the beaches here are not crowded and actually warm enough to get in the salty surf.
Arrival and retreat from the sun’s heat came under the wrap around porch.
Andy & Elizabeth on the gulf coast’s squeaky sand under our blue canopy.
Best place to throw a football!
We brought along our girl Kodi, who loves the beach!
Our beautiful Kodi. She has always loves the beach, sun, sand and family.
Cutie pie Kipper who has never liked the beach, especially the sun.
He comes along for the food & family love!
No beach trip would be complete without sugar.
This variety in honor of Paw Paw who would have been 101 years old this weekend.
Cape San Blas, where everyday is mother’s day and grandmother’s day.

Happy Hour sunset pic with the fam!!
Cape San Blas has the prettiest sunsets, always unobstructed. I love spending time there and seeing how the sun sets differently during the year and in a different place on the horizon line…something I would have never experienced if we hadn’t fallen in love with this coast line many years ago!
then…
On Memorial Day weekend May 2015, no teenagers in the house anymore,
all alone now, we struck out for a southern spin.
On the water in Savannah, Georgia. Taking “Sweet Ruby” for a ride to Charleston, South Carolina.

This evening ended with this Irishman singing “Molly Malone,” part of the inspiration for Molly’s name.
We loved our evening view of Charleston by the river.
Entering the city you’re immediately impressed by the natural water sources and amazing fountains.
