I love Boston expressions… “So don’t I!”
This means: “me too!”
I love local lingo!
Weather or not, we’ve got a plan.
By coincidence our itinery has some indoor sites.
Very secluded, secure, privately owned campground in Bellingham, Mass, 45 min from downtown.
July 25-28, 2018
First stop: Boston Museum of Fine Art
Experiencing Mark Rothko
The Contemporary wing…
enter ~Jackson Pollack & Pablo Picasso~
Et moi, looking for more art. (pics taken with my Canon DSLR to be uploaded later.)
The museum is in a class of its own. Fabulous European collection from the Netherlands, works of Rembrandt & of course France, marvelous Rodin, Pissarro & Cassatt.
Most impressive, the largest Monet collection anywhere outside France. I like that they hung two “haystacks” side by side to show his light studies. We are still studying light, learning modern photography today.

Of special note here, the Degas bronze ballerina in her tutu. I’ve only ever seen the one located on the Musée d’Orsay in Paris, (on the fifth floor.)
(photo coming…)
~Day 2~
Harvard Art Museum aka Fogg Art Museum
The building in itself is a work of art.
I loved seeing Franz Marc’s large horse paintings.
Our last stop in the city was at Historic Fenway Park, home of the Red Sox.
This pleasant stop ended with both red & blue ringing up some points at our campsite!
It’s a wrap a Boston~ leaving 7/28 in the morning.
