First stop on our Florida to Maine & Quebec road trip was in Jacksonville saying good-bye to the grands!
Inside addition: new bath mat for the road to Maine & Quebec.
Outside update, maiden voyage for our new awning!
After our saying good-bye camp night we traveled to Wilson North Carolina.
~All was well and we departed on Sunday July 22, 2018~
The traveling continued with slow traffic & rain on I-95.
A welcome sight at our next stop communication began in both English & French as we approach the northern states visited frequently by French Canadians.
The Sunday evening we arrived to camp in Hershey Pennsylvania at a beautiful campsite I walked and photographed the beautiful bridge/creek setting pictured above.
To our surprise we were awaken by a 5am visit from the manager alerting all campers, most of them French, that we had a mandatory evacuation because the creek was flooding.
My 5 am view!
The day got better every minute!
We arrived at an amazing campsite on the first sunny day of our travels!

Mystic Seaport, Connecticut,
a longtime wanderlust destination of Mr. P proved to be a hit! I did not expect this spot to be so romantic!
Mystic’s draw bridge allows boats to pass 20 minutes before every hour.
Beautiful sights along the way and at Mystic Seaport Museum are awesome!
Our last excursion in Conneticut was a short drive to the incredible settlement of Watch Hill, Rhode Island.
Local residents, hilltop inns & seaside inns cover the scenic coastal overlooks speckled with gorgeous Hydrangea this time of year!
We wrapped up these sweet memories with a homemade camp dinner!
