It’s summertime in the south, and it goes without saying it’s time for family, pool days, beach days and watermelon! Pictured here with my grandfather, and sister Cathy ~ Panama City Beach, Florida at a wayside park on a picnic, eating outside is one thing grandfather was not fond of. ~ Summer 1965/’66

Probably my favorite watermelon picture in the world…our oldest, at age 5. ~August ’87

Our youngest, Andy age 6, on the last day of Kindergarten. His very fun teacher planned a terrific end of the year party with watermelon. ~ May 2001

There is not a pic of the Watermelon Daiquiris, or the fresh squeezed orange juice for the Screw Drivers or the Gin & Tonic with lime juice but there “were” ice cold ones and they were carefully prepared fresh!

This is how I wrap up the best summertime, family, watermelon, pool day of summer 2018!
