Our nights in the 6th arrondissement, at the Saint Sulpice metro stop were restful and the perfect way to reset after the flight over. This is “one” of my favorite hotel courtyards.
Capturing our Summer 2016 vacation highlights reminds me how it nourishes the soul…This was the first time the Mister & I traveled abroad just the two of us.

I never tire of Eiffel, especially this time during the Euro Soccer matches, hence the suspended soccer bowl on Eiffel. Cold bottle of champagne sold there on a summer night are perfect. I always talk them down…to a very low price.

From there we took the Euro Rail to Villefranche-sur-Mer…in the south of France.

On the train that lines the coast here you can travel to Cannes, Nice (my favorite stop there Nice-Riguier), Monaco, Menton…On the stop in-between you can access Saint Jean Cap-Ferrat, Beaulieu and other stops to approach hikes to Eze, & Saint Jean Cap-Ferrat. The beach is very lovely too.

This wine was lovely but the point is to show the type of pebbled sand on top of my foot.

Our hotel overlooking Villefranche…

Another view…and us Sunday morning.

From the hotel we walked down to the train on the beach and traveled to…

Beaulieu for lunch.

Monoco

…and a walk in Monoco along the yachts we saw how 1% of 1% live.

By car we made the trip to Carcassonne.

The “La Cite Medievale” village is fantastic! I captured some spots I love.

Bordeaux region is nice, esp Pauillac and the Chateau of Lynch Bages & Mouton Rothschild…

Barrels

Soon we returned to Paris where the shopping, dining & museuming are always good. And about which I say: ” When a women is tired of Paris she is tired of living!”

And best meals can be found… at the restaurant of M. Gerard Depardieu: “Le Bien Decide”!
